They sailed away on that gallant barque
Roy Neal and his fair young brid
They had ventured all on that bounding shi
That danced on the silvery tid
And his heart was young, and his spirit ligh
As he kissed her tears awa
And they watched the shore retreat from sigh
Of their own sweet Dublin Ba
Three days they sailed when the storm aros
And the lightning swept the deep
When the thunder crash broke the short repos
Of the weary sailors' slee
Roy Neal, he clasped his weeping brid
And he kissed the tears awa
"Oh, love, 'twas a fearful hour," he cried
"When we left sweet Dublin Bay!"
On the crowded deck of that doomed shi
Some fell in their deep despai
And some, o'ercome with a holier heart
Sought the God of the storm in praye
"She has struck a rock," the sailors crie
In their breath of wild disma
And that ship went down with the fair young brid
